We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team in Vancouver. The Civil Engineer will play a key role in designing, planning, and overseeing construction projects, ensuring they are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop detailed plans for construction projects, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
- Prepare project specifications, budgets, and timelines in collaboration with project managers.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Perform structural analyses and calculations to ensure safety and stability.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify potential design or construction issues and provide solutions.
- Ensure environmental and sustainability considerations are incorporated into designs.
- Oversee material testing and quality assurance processes.
- Prepare and present technical reports and project updates to clients and management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) certification in Canada or eligibility to obtain it.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
