Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and oversee the construction of infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and other civil works.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and meet safety standards.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
- Prepare detailed project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure it adheres to timelines and budgets.
- Provide technical support and solutions during the construction phase.
- Review and approve engineering designs and plans.
- Conduct inspections to ensure quality control and resolve any issues that arise.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Civil Engineer in a construction or infrastructure-related role.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and techniques.
- Familiarity with industry regulations, codes, and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
