Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records including accounts payable and receivable.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and process transactions in compliance with company policies.
- Prepare invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Help manage expense reports, petty cash, and vendor accounts.
- Assist with payroll processing and government remittances.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical financial documentation for audits and internal use.
- Collaborate with the senior accountant and finance team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role, preferably in construction or a related industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Canadian accounting standards and regulations is a plus.
