Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including data entry, invoice processing, and account reconciliation.
- Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and update ledgers as needed.
- Prepare and file GST/PST returns and assist with tax documentation.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and support the preparation of financial reports.
- Help ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with senior accountants and other departments to resolve discrepancies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role (internships included).
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and time-management abilities.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic work environment.
