We are seeking a hardworking and organized Warehouse Assistant to join our Vancouver team. The Warehouse Assistant will support the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring inventory is managed efficiently and materials are readily available for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming deliveries of materials and equipment.
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure easy accessibility and accurate stock levels.
- Pick, pack, and prepare materials for dispatch to construction sites.
- Assist in inventory management, including regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies.
- Operate forklifts or other equipment to move and store materials safely (if certified).
- Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and adheres to safety standards.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for timely material handling.
- Assist in tracking and maintaining tools and equipment.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Forklift certification is an asset but not mandatory.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
