Treesa Builders is seeking a skilled and proactive Desktop Engineer to join our IT team in Vancouver. This role is ideal for a technology professional who can provide technical support, maintain desktop systems, and ensure the smooth functioning of IT infrastructure that supports daily business and construction operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop system problems in a timely manner.
- Install and update operating systems, software applications, and security patches.
- Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functionality of workstations.
- Maintain IT asset inventories and documentation records.
- Configure user accounts, email access, and system permissions.
- Assist in data backup, recovery, and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Coordinate with vendors and senior IT staff for advanced technical support when required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in desktop support, IT support, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, desktop hardware, and software applications.
- Experience with troubleshooting, networking basics, and IT support tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and enterprise IT environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
